Art Collecting made Affordable and Easy in San Diego

If you're dying to own an original piece of art but you think it's too expensive, the San Diego Fine Art Society is offering an opportunity to start your art collection with a membership and a chance to win a free piece of art when you sign up at ArtWalk in downtown San Diego April 26 & 27. Unlike other art organizations, The San Diego Fine Art Society wants to make original creations affordable and accessible for everyone. At ArtWalk on April 26 and 27, SDFAS will have a booth where you can get a membership at 50% off the regular fee of $100 . Visit their booth and you'll find out how you can meet local artists, start or add to your collection, and purchase art at affordable rates much lower than galley prices direct from local artists and new emerging talent. When you sign up at ArtWalk, you get 50% off the annual membership fee and a chance to win a drawing for a free piece of artwork.
It's hard to believe that a world renown master like Vincent Van Gogh was once a young artist who sold his paintings on the street for very little money. Today they are worth millions. Who knows, the art works you collect today may be tomorrows masterpieces. What's great about owning art is that it never loses its value and appeal. No matter how long you have an original piece of art--weather it's an awesome painting, sculpture or drawing-- it never gets old and worn out, like a car, a couch or a pair of shoes. Art is priceless, timeless and transforms spaces into inviting atmospheres.
If you've never collected art before and have no idea how to begin try the Collectors Club Kick off party on April 17th while you enjoy breathtaking views of the San Diego skyline at the University Club Downtown. You'll hear from a dynamic group of artists and experts on "Finding your Way in Today's Art Market."
